About Collingsworth County

Collingsworth County is situated in the eastern part of the Texas Panhandle. It is a land of diverse land regions, ranging from rolling hills of rangeland to prime farmland. It also hosts a variety of wildlife and provides excellent hunting.

Wellington is the county seat with a population of just over 2,000 people. Wellington Independent School District is recognized consistently for academic performance. A new Collingsworth General Hospital was recently opened with quality medical care available for the county. Area communities are Dodson, Samnorwood, Lutie and Quail.

Collingsworth County is a place of quality people, hard working individuals dedicated to values of stewardship, education, family and love of the land.
